Intel CHIC AE Mode Module Soutions for IFMP

The CHIC socket has been completely integrated with the Intel Flash Memory Programmer (IFMP). Module boards assembled with these sockets are available through STT.

And now a Configurable Functional Analysis Socket is available for use with the Intel Flash Memory Programmer (IFMP) and the Extended Features IFMPwin Extended Features mode functions providing a powerful new debug tool that can be used in the field. This solution can be used for electrical interface between a BGA part that no longer has solder balls (e.g., part was removed from its application) and the IFMPWin Extended Features software or the IFMPWin programming algorithm software.

The Signal Transfer Technology CFAS is a patented and powerful debug tool that provides advanced capabilities for the flash memory development environment. A seamless interface to the Intel Flash Memory Programmer (IFMP) offers a complete tool-set for quick problem isolation.

Now, with this new capability a previously installed flash device can be exercised via IFMPWin software to determine that its basic functionality is still intact. Either standard programming routines (program, erase, read, verify) or the manual command mode feature (write custom scripts) can be used for this purpose.
