The Configurable High Insertion Count (CHIC) Socket allows users of programming and automatic test equipment to accommodate a BGA, QFN, MLF or any lead-less package. The socket also improves electrical contact reliability compared to conventional burn-in style socket technology and has a very long cycle life.

The CHIC Socket is available either with a full array of contact pads (which accommodate any BGA with the same contact pitch) and a personality nest that fits over the platform or with a pin holder and nest that can be removed and replaced such that any package type is accommodated. These sockets are a perfect match for programmable memory and FLASH memory devices.

Any application currently using a burn-in style board can utilize this socket and any existing pcb can be modified at our factory to mount this socket immediately.
